Buy ZoLa, help an underdog.

This week, we sent the first of what will be many donations to our founding Be Awear animal rescue partners, Lucky Dog Animal Rescue in Washington, D.C. and Brooklyn Animal Resource Coalition (BARC) in Williamsburg, Brooklyn. Lucky Dog and BARC were the founding partners for our Be Awear mission and crowdfunding campaign on Indiegogo.

Now that our shirts have arrived, shipped to our backers and ZoLa is up and running, we have donated over $1,000 of the net proceeds from our Indiegogo campaign to Lucky Dog and BARC. Launching a fashion brand and new business is a time- and capital-intensive process and donating a portion of the proceeds from our crowdfunding campaign underscores our commitment to supporting critical animal welfare/rescue causes that help give our animal friends the life they deserve.

While we are not a non-profit, we are a social enterprise focused on creating high quality, ethically-sourced products that celebrate the human animal bond and give back 10% of sales to our animal rescue partner organizations. Our Be Awear mission was designed to expand awareness for animal welfare and help our customers feel good, look good and do good – or as we like to say it unleash the good life.

Be Awear
Beware of inhumane animal treatment, be aware of causes that support our animal friends and wear your support proudly.

We live and breathe this mission and we’re dedicated to funding animal rescue organizations that help eradicate inhumane animal treatment and help homeless animals find their forever homes. Over the next few months in a series of blog posts, we will be sharing more info with you about our animal rescue partners and how your support has made and will continue to make a tremendous difference for the animals that they support and help give a new leash on life.

On behalf of our animal rescue partners and the animals you have helped, we thank you for your support! We have also created a special tribute page to thank those who helped make ZoLa a reality and backed our initial crowdfunding campaign.
